Cure for Colors Walk/Run

Cures for Colors is a non-profit foundation that is near and dear to our hearts. Each year, Cures for Colors organizes walks, runs, motorcycle rides and other events to boost cancer awareness. Berkshire Hathaway Home Services McMillen and Associates Realty and friends participate every year to help raise funds for financial assistance to those effected. Since 2011 Cures for Colors has help provide much-needed assistance to cancer patients in eastern North Carolina while they are getting treatment. 100% of the money it collects is spent on patients needs and Cures for Colors is 100% volunteer from time, money and resources.

Color Run is available for the 5k and 1mi fun run, and 1/2 marathon will be without color. Half marathon and individual 5k will be timed, while the team 5k and 1-mile fun run for beginners/children/families will be untimed. All proceeds will be used to assist cancer patients and their families in Eastern NC through Southeastern Cancer Care, “Cures for the Colors”.

~ April 21 Countdown to kindergarten program for children ages 4 and 5 at the Steele Memorial Library in Mount Olive. Free. Information 919-299-8105

~ April 21 Flealess market sponsored by Furever Paws will take place from 10am to 3pm at the Waynesborough park. Cost is $15 to set up a yard sale of vendor table. 919-988-4813

~ It’s a relative thing event will beheld at Steele Memorial Library in Mount Olive from1030 to noon. Susan Corliss-Bland with Daughters of the American Revolution will talk about genealogy. Free. 919-299-8105

~ April 22nd 12:30pm to 3:00pm Earth Day at Stoney Creek Park. Morning yoga in the park, poetry, natured themed arts and crafts, family games and food. 919-736-3300
