Fall is my favorite time of the year! I love how the weather is perfect; the leaves turn bright colors, it’s time to wear those cute cozy sweaters and of course it’s almost Halloween!  One of the most cherished parts of the autumn months, comes in the shape of a bright orange gourd. Of course, we are talking about the beloved pumpkin! There are lots of ways to get into the spirit of blessed pumpkin bliss.

Pumpkin Foods: Fall could arguably be THE season for foodies a big reason for this is the star of the fall food show, the pumpkin. With pumpkin rolls, cakes, pies, bread, soups, pancakes, and lattes! I love just about everyone of them.

Pumpkin Smells: There’s something about a cool crisp day and the smell of pumpkin luring the in the air.  Now it’s time to surround yourself in the fragrance of pumpkin and all the delicious smells that go along with it. Pumpkin candles, pumpkin air fresheners, cinnamon sticks and more – the smell of pumpkin spice is nice – and sometimes is almost good enough to eat!

Pumpkin Patches: North Carolina has some of the best Pumpkin Patches around. The pumpkin patches here have hay rides, air blobs, animals, playgrounds, corn mazes, and of course pick your own pumpkins! Beautiful, vibrant displays of bright orange pumpkins of all sizes and shapes are on display in preparation for upcoming Halloween. Pumpkin patches are a fun for the whole family! Orange pumpkins will, of course, be everywhere but you might even see pumpkins that are white, blue, green and covered in dots!

Pumpkin Decor: Pumpkins are a great way to decorate for fall.  Sites like Pinterest are loaded with fabulous fall decorating ideas to warm up your house with a festive autumn vibe. Pumpkins and Jack-o-Lanterns also are some of the most popular Halloween decorations out there. You can carve them, hang them, even serve them up as a soup bowl. My mother uses them as a flower vase.
