~ “Lend me a tenor” will be performed by Center State Theatre at the Paramount Feb 17 through Feb 19.

~ How to build a campfire program will take place Feb 17th, at 4pm at the Cliffs of Neuse. Free!

~ The Monitors will be in concert at 7pm at the Peggy Seegars Senior Center. The event is free and sponsored by the Arts Council of Wayne County

~ Wayne County Jazz Showcase will take place Feb 17th from 7pm to 930pm at the Arts Council of Wayne County. Free!

~ February 18th, Black Super Heroes program will be held at the Wayne County Public Library from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Free!

~ Valentine’s Day Extravaganza the Carolina’s Key Club will be hosting an event at the Herman Park Center on February 18th. Free to all!

~ Candyland Daddy-Daughter Dance at the YMCA on February 18th 7-9pm

~ African American Poetry: A Celebration February 21, 2017 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Wayne County Public Library

~ February 23rd annual Hymn Festival at 7:30pm at the University of Mount Olive

~ Black Super Heroes program will be held at the Wayne County Public Library from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Free!

If you feel like venturing away from town:

~ Saturday night Fever Broadway show will take place from February 14th-19th at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium

~ Jay Leno will be at the Durham Performing Arts Center February 17th at 7:30pm

~Cupid’s Undie Run will take place from noon -4pm. 419 Glenwood Ave Raleigh $35 proceeds benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation.

~ ‘I am Not Your Negro’ documentary starts in select theaters in Raliegh.
