  • Center Street Jam (May 30)

With summer now approaching, what is a better way to enjoy the sun other than good music and good friends! This Thursday, Center Street Jam is back for another evening of fun. The event is located at 130 N Center Street in the John Street parking lot, and is from 6 – 9 PM. This week, the music is by The Embers, who are known for their beach music and leaving their mark on their listeners for decades.   • Upcycle Auction and Food Truck Showcase (May 30)

Looking for a way to beat the heat this week? Join the Habitat Goldsboro-Wayne Restore in their Upcycle Auction and Food Truck Showcase on Thursday. Located at the Firehouse on 109 East Ash Street, come out and enjoy a silent and live auction of refurbished furniture, home decor, handmade jewelry and art! From 6pm – 7pm, they will have drinks, hor d’oeuvres, and a silent auction. From 8pm- 9pm a live auction will take place! Tickets are $30 or $55 for a couple, and it includes a drink ticket!   • Wayne County Jazz Showcase ft. Stephen Riley (May 31)

This friday, located at the Arts Council of Wayne County, is “the premier jazz event of the summer courtesy of the North Carolina Arts Council and the Arts Council of Wayne County.” This free event is from 7pm – 9 pm and features Stephen Riley, a Greenville native who has spent his years touring and recording with many acclaimed artists and bands. Accompanying Mr. Riley are Neal Caine on the bass and Jeremy Bean Clemons on the drums. After the show, there will be an after show jazz session from 9:30 to 12 am across the street at the 18th Amendment Lounge at Barrique. THe Arts Council is located at 102 N John St. and the 18th Amendment Lounge is located at 217 N.   • Dog Adoption Event (June 2)

This Sunday, Brew Works is hosting one special event! Volunteers from the Wayne County Animal Advocates will be bringing adoptable dogs to the taproom from our local shelter! Even if you’re not looking to adopt, what better way is there to spend a Sunday evening rather than drinking beer and playing with dogs!
